A : Breast implants typically last 5-10 years, though longevity may vary depending on the brand and implant model. Patients with silicone breast implants should schedule a routine implant check-up with their surgeon at least once per year.
A: Initial post-operative swelling will reduce and the breasts will begin to look natural at approximately 1 month post-surgery. Full settling of the implants typically occurs between 3-6 months. Mild discomfort may be experienced during the first 3 months.
A: A feeling of tightness in the chest following breast augmentation is entirely normal. Although some patients may feel the tightness is excessive, this is a standard part of healing – particularly during the first month. The sensation gradually diminishes as the tissues relax and adapt.

A: Sexual activity may generally be resumed following breast augmentation; however, elevated heart rate can cause excessive chest movement. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous physical activity, including vigorous sexual activity, for 1-2 weeks post-surgery.
A: Post-operative swelling in the early stages is completely normal and will progressively subside. If the patient still feels the implants are too large after full healing, a revision procedure to downsize the implants is possible.
A: Breastfeeding is generally possible following breast augmentation, provided the milk ducts have not been disrupted during surgery. Patients who are planning a future pregnancy should inform their surgeon prior to the procedure so that surgical technique can be optimised accordingly.
A: During the procedure at ONE Surgery & Aesthetics, a certified anaesthesiologist is present throughout to administer general anaesthesia. Patients will experience no pain – or minimal discomfort at most – during the operation.
A: Sleeping on your side before the implants have settled may cause pain and prolonged lateral pressure on the implants. In cases of subglandular (above-muscle) placement, this may risk implant rotation. Patients are advised to wear a post-operative support bra throughout sleep during the first week.
A: Once the implants have fully settled, patients may use a sauna, swim, or soak in warm water normally.
