Lip Surgery

What is lip surgery?

Lip surgery is a cosmetic procedure designed to correct various concerns of the lips—such as overly thick lips, undefined lip shape, disproportionate lip size, or structural irregularities. The procedure reshapes and refines the lips through surgical techniques, and can be performed on either the upper lip, lower lip, or both.

The surgical approach varies depending on each individual’s lip shape and specific concerns. A consultation with a qualified physician is recommended to assess the condition and develop a tailored treatment plan. For safety and optimal results, it is essential to choose an experienced specialist and a reputable clinic.

Benefits of Lip Surgery?

Corrects disproportionate lip shapes, including asymmetrical or uneven lips.

Enhances lip aesthetics by improving lip contour, adding definition, and reducing excessive lip fullness

Resolves lip-area concerns that affect confidence, such as lip scarring, downturned lips,or drooping lip corners that may contribute to a tired or unapproachable appearance

Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Lip Surgery?

Individuals with lips that are disproportionate or not harmonized with their facial features, such as asymmetrical lips.

Individuals with unrefined lip shapes, unclear cupid’s bow definition, or excessively thick lips.

Individuals with lip scarring.

Individuals with lip shape concerns such as downturned lips or inverted lip curvature.

Which Lip Shape Suits You?

01

Natural Lip Shape (Classy Kysse)

A natural, balanced look where the upper lip is slightly thinner than the lower lip, following the natural lip ratio. Ideal for those who want added fullness without making the lips overly plump.

02

Voluminous Lip Shape (Sexy Kysse)

A fuller, more pronounced lip shape on both the upper and lower lips. Popular among Western beauty enthusiasts, this style conveys sensuality and allure.

03

Cherry Lip Shape (Cherry Kysse)

Characterized by a fuller lower lip and a distinctly defined upper lip crest, creating a soft, natural-looking cherry-shaped pout. This style is particularly favored in Korean-inspired aesthetics.

04

Winged Lip Shape

A refined lip style with a thinner upper lip, a well-defined cupid’s bow, and subtly lifted lip corners. The shape resembles a bird with outstretched wings when smiling. Popular among Thai aesthetics, this style requires a highly skilled surgeon to achieve a natural result.

05

Cupid’s Bow Lip Shape

Featuring a prominent, well-sculpted cupid’s bow resembling the letter “M,” paired with a plump lower lip that complements the upper contour. This shape creates a charming blend of sweetness and sensuality.

06

Wide Lips

A shape with balanced fullness in both upper and lower lips and naturally lifted corners, creating a longer, more elongated lip appearance. Suitable for individuals with narrow or blurred lip borders.

07

Heavy Upper Lips

A shape where the lower lip is noticeably fuller than the upper lip, sometimes combined with lifted corners. Popular among Western styles, this lip shape delivers a bold, captivating look.

08

Full Lips

A proportionate shape with both upper and lower lips equally full. This style complements facial features with strong, well-defined structures such as the eyes, nose, and brows. It may be less suited to softer, more delicate Asian facial proportions.

Benefits and Precautions of Lip Surgery

It is strongly recommended to consult a qualified specialist before proceeding with any procedure. A professional assessment ensures accurate planning, targeted solutions, and optimal satisfaction.

Benefits of Lip Surgery

  • Enhances overall facial balance and definition.
  • Boosts self-confidence.
  • Improves lip aesthetics, creating a more attractive and refined appearance.
  • Accentuates facial features by harmonizing proportions.
  • Corrects lip deformities or irregularities, including those resulting from accidents or trauma.

Precautions of Lip Surgery

  • Because the procedure involves surgery on the lips, individuals undergoing treatment for oral conditions or those with existing oral health issues should consult their physician and consider postponing the operation.
  • Temporary numbness or reduced sensation around the lips may occur after surgery; this typically resolves over time.
  • Scarring may occur, making it essential to choose a reputable clinic and an experienced surgeon to minimize risks and ensure natural-looking results.

Post-Operative Care for Lip Surgery

Apply a cold compress for the first 4 days after surgery to help reduce swelling.

Clean the surgical site and surrounding lip area carefully, following your surgeon’s instructions.

Avoid brushing your teeth for the first 3 days. Instead, rinse your mouth with an alcohol-free mouthwash. On day 4, you may resume brushing using a gentle toothpaste (such as children’s toothpaste) and a soft-bristled toothbrush

Avoid chewing, opening your mouth widely, laughing, or smiling until the incision has healed.

Refrain from touching, rubbing, picking, or scratching the wound area

Avoid exercising or engaging in strenuous activities to prevent sweating, which may affect healing

Keep the wound clean and take all prescribed medications as directed by your physician
