Cupid lip

What Is a Cupid Lip ?

A Cupid Lips is a surgical procedure designed to elevate and refine the corners of the mouth. It addresses concerns that cause the smile to appear less vibrant or the face to look tense or melancholic, such as downward-turned lips, drooping lip corners, or sagging upper lip tissue.

This procedure lifts the corners of the mouth in a natural, harmonious way, enhancing the smile and adding charm to the overall facial expression. The results are long-lasting, and the surgeon may also combine the corner lip lift with other lip-shaping corrections—such as reducing excessive lip thickness or enhancing thin lips—to achieve optimal balance

Who Is an Ideal candidate for Cupid Lip?

Individuals with naturally downward-turned lips or drooping lip corners, either from birth or developed over time

Individuals experiencing facial skin laxity that causes the corners of the mouth to droop—commonly seen with aging

Individuals with excess facial fat that contributes to facial sagging, or those who have experienced rapid weight loss resulting in loose skin and downward-turned lip corners

Benefits and Precautions of Cupid Lip?

As always, it is strongly recommended to consult with a qualified specialist before the procedure to ensure precise evaluation, accurate planning, and satisfying results.

Benefits of a Cupid Lip ?

  • Enhances facial expression and friendliness: Slightly elevated lip corners make the face appear more cheerful, lively, and approachable.
  • Corrects downward-turned lips naturally: Addresses sagging of the mouth corners caused by aging or natural asymmetry, restoring firmness and a youthful contour.
  • Long-lasting results: Unlike temporary treatments such as fillers or Botox, surgical corner lip lifts provide enduring results.

Precautions of a Cupid Lip ?

  • Not suitable for certain individuals: People with very thin lips or an imbalanced smile may not achieve optimal results, as lifting the corners could further disrupt facial harmony.
  • Possibility of visible scarring: Even with advanced suturing techniques that hide incisions, there is a risk of noticeable scars, especially in individuals prone to keloid formation.
  • Requires a skilled aesthetic surgeon: The procedure demands expertise in facial anatomy to design the angle and lift of the corners in harmony with the patient’s face, smile, and personality.
